We are extremely proud of the outcomes we achieve with every school in The Connection network.

Since our 2013 inception, The Connection has supported over 80 schools across New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria, reaching more than 4200 educators and approximately 75,000 students in Australia.

An evaluation by RMIT researchers found that after 3-5 years of participation:

  • All NSW and South Australian schools and three quarters of participating Victorian schools are implementing innovative and effective teaching strategies and practices.
  • 94-100% have very high improvement in pedagogical content knowledge.
  • All NSW and South Australian principals and teachers and three quarters of those in Victoria acquired new knowledge relevant to their roles.
  • Many principals and teachers enjoy significant improvements in student engagement, learning and development.
  • 73% of schools improved academic outcomes, student agency and understanding their own learning processes.
  • A moderate to high proportion of participants reported developing the motivation to share knowledge with other schools for system-wide improvement.
  • Schools such as Rooty Hill High School in western Sydney, NSW and Stirling North Primary School in Port Augusta, SA experienced stronger student engagement and learning outcomes. See full case studies here.
